RE: fantastic fan crank broken

Just phone the company and they will take care of it. Their customer service is incomparable.

RE: Bigfoot Closing it's doors

Seems like, in general, it's the quality manufacturers that are going under. Hate to see it!

RE: Pleasure-Way Newest Addition 2009 Lexor-RD

Do you happen to know if they will still make the TD model (twin beds) and will it also have an enclosed bath?

RE: Cleaning Corian countertops....Bachelor needs help.

I use ultra-fine steel wool for many such jobs with good success. It will not harm the surface. Use it wet with a little dish soap.

RE: Palmetto State Park, Texas

We camped there with a 36' DP with a Blazer toad. I don't recall there being any issues. It's a neat park.

BBNP is our favorite, too. We went there three times in one year! Great trails and scenery. Wish we were there right now.

RE: Coastal Washington State

I've lived in WA all my life--including Seattle--and I would stay as far away from the Seattle-Tacoma-Olympia area as possible unless you love heavy traffic.
The Olympic Peninsula, including a hike in the Olympic Mountains, and the San Juan Islands (you'll have to take the ferry but that's cool, too). Plenty of kayaking opportunities there.

RE: Why are my cookies flattening out?

Hopefully, she's not using some kind of synthetic 'spread' instead of margarine. It won't work. My favorite shortening for cookies is butter-flavored Crisco .

RE: Fleas - Help me please

I agree that bombs work. Nuclear bombs are probably the most effective, but they might frighten the neighbors and cause harmful residue. So just pick up a few of the little canister foggers from Walmart or your local hardware store. :)

How inconsiderate of Walmart. The next time you "camp" at one ask the manager to please suspend the sweeper for the night so that you can get some sleep. :B

RE: Pre-owned prices

I agree that private sellers are probably not getting anywhere near what they are asking. What I don't get is why they aren't aware of what dealers are asking. I e-mailed a seller of a Class B a statement from a dealer showing that a new (not used) 2007 RT 170 was less than he--the private seller--was asking for his used 2005. Didn't get a reply.
I suspect wandering1 is right: They are upside down on a loan and are hoping against all odds they won't lose money.

Pre-owned prices

I've been noticing that dealers are asking lower prices than private sellers for similar units. In fact, I've even seen NEW units going for less than private parties are asking for one or two-year-old used models. Guess at least the dealers realize there's a recession on.

RE: Oh well here we go!!

I drove in two weeks after my right TKR, but it was six months before my first real hike, with a light daypack. Very important to do your therapy exercises faithfully. Not fun, but crucial to your recovery.
